I've got to make it to write just my feelings about what has been going on each day!! "Private Diary": I do not know why, but I feel a little uneasy about until when it will last. Riko Higashio

On Tuesday and Wednesday, practice and pro-am days, it was very typical British weather with low temperature and strong gusty winds. But when the competition started, the sun was shining with blue sky and very little wind.
It was great weather for good rounds of golf but the conditions were so very different from the practice days that what they learned from those practice rounds was lost. Under such conditions, what makes the difference is to learn the condition of the course and adapt to how the shots like approach shots behave very quickly.
This morning I followed Ai Miyazato. She was missing greens by hitting short. I think she was having difficulty adjusting. However, she has recovered well and birdied some holes. She finished first rounds 1 under par. I think she had a nice round. In the afternoon. I was following Annika, Ochoa, Fudoh group. Annika had bogies and double bogies. Fudoh was not very sharp, nor was Ochoa. It was not like top players we know. I hope they will do better tomorrow.
You may have noticed - but when I am doing this job, I have to have 2 rounds! I think its easier to play. I hope I can do good reporting for those people watching this broadcast in Japan.
