Oops, just realized I didn’t write anything since Mexico! My week off last week consisted of some physical mending, practice, going to the dentist, a fairly hectic schedule. My training was the same as always, but I changed around my practice routine a little, working with a sports psychologist. I hadn’t swung my club for about half a year since my surgery, so until recently I’d been having an instructor that specializes in helping me work on my swing give me some technical pointers. After playing a game, however, I was reminded how important the mental aspect of the game is, didn’t go to even one swing lesson, and instead saw my mental trainer.
Phoenix is this week. The course is a long one, and not one of my best, but I’ll try to visualize all of the practice I did last week, and see how well I can do this time. But my gosh! Even so, Phoenix is hot! The sun just gradually bakes you no matter how much sunscreen you put on. Soaking in the power of the sun (and all your support), I’ll see if I can shrink down that score a little bit!
