I've got to make it to write just my feelings about what has been going on each day!! "Private Diary": I do not know why, but I feel a little uneasy about until when it will last. Riko Higashio

I went around Torry Pines’ south course in San Diego, CA the other day. Any true golf fan will know that this is where the PGA’s Buick Invitational is held every February, and Junior World Championship every July. It’s also where the US Open is going to be held next year.
Although it’s a public course, it faces the ocean, and the scenery is about 10 times better than the Kanagawa GC to compare it by Japanese standards. It was my first time to play a round here since I made an appearance as a delegate for Japan in Junior World Championship when I was in high school. Even so, last time was on the north course, so it was actually my first time on the south course. The men’s open will be played here next year, and I definitely wanted to give it a try before that.
Torry Pines is known for being difficult. 6,628 yards from the white tee, the greens are small and on an incline, placed right where they’re about to go into a hangar. Although the rough wasn’t that deep and the greens weren’t too fast, I did have to plan my strategy carefully while playing the round. A tournament level course with fantastic scenery, I recommend anyone who has a chance to come to San Diego to check it out.
