I came to New Jersey. At the Kingsmill (Michelob ULTRA Open) last week, even though my driving game came back to me, my short game was all over the place. For the first time in a while, I blew a potentially good game, and was eliminated. Up to now, what had been whacking up a high score with the driver turned into being unable to get near or on the green. The game of golf is mysterious, and I’m kicking myself- up to last week my short game was fantastic.
The course this week is a new one. A bit tough, actually, with huge trees and narrow fairways, and bumpy greens. Usually my type of course, so I’ll have to gear up my concentration and go for it.
