I've got to make it to write just my feelings about what has been going on each day!! "Private Diary": I do not know why, but I feel a little uneasy about until when it will last. Riko Higashio

On the last day of the Women’s British Open, in a climate making you wonder if this really is the famous Scotland summer weather – started raining in the afternoon and the temperature dropped – dreams came true for Lorena Ochoa as she one her first major championship.
In the midst of windless conditions promising a chance at a good score in the morning, Miki Saiki had the best finish of the Japanese players at 6 under par, her personal best on the last day of her first tournament abroad. Still, no matter how great weather, you gotta be having a good day with both your shots and puts to go 6 under on this course, so it really was a beautiful game for her.
Ai Miyazato’s chance was ruined on the 17th when she hit two out of bounds. Although she probably wouldn’t admit it, she looked really worn out. Match play two weeks ago totaled 36 hours over the weekend, and if you count the practice round on Tuesday, that’s 8 rounds in 6 days. Another thing, this course has a lot of ups and downs, making it different from the norm in terms of match play.
And with last week having been in France and this week in Scotland, that kind of thing will take its toll, on anyone, both physically and mentally. Granted, the victor and other LPGA players all had the same schedule initially, but it seemed to me that Ai must have been extra tired after staying in the contention to the final of the match play as well.
This was the first-ever professional ladies tournament at St. Andrews, and even though I’m a little disappointed as a player that I didn’t take part, being here to see the Mecca of golf with my own eyes made it a fulfilling week.
