I've got to make it to write just my feelings about what has been going on each day!! "Private Diary": I do not know why, but I feel a little uneasy about until when it will last. Riko Higashio

It’s been a while since I blogged. My mom was visiting me here in the States these last 3 weeks. This was the second tournament she came to see since the one in Hawaii at the beginning of the year. I was only ultimately able to compete in the first one, though, so after this last tourney in Alabama, I took her to New Orleans, where we had a good time listening to Dixieland jazz, then we played golf in San Diego together, and went to Mexico- all in all it was a great trip for just me and my mom to spend some time together…
This is the end of my year in the US. As everybody knows, it finished without me passing the qualifying round even once. It’s been a pathetic and disappointing year. But the outcome was the result of me giving it my best effort, and although tough to accept I don’t think I should be too hard on myself. I’ve got a lot to think about and a lot of practicing to do, and I want to “pick up the pieces” and keep moving forward.
My upcoming schedule is to play in the last 2 or 3 matches in Japan. I will definitely be taking part in the Masters GC Ladies and Elleair Ladies Open. Plans for next year are not decided yet. The final stage of the Japan and US Qualifying schools are during the same week, so I’m going to have to decide on one of them, but since I do have about a month and a half until the last week of November, I’m going to join the Qualifying school in Japan from the second stage for the time being. That’s about all for now.
The match in Japan next week is going to be my first in about 2 years. In order play a game that meets all the Japanese fans’ expectations (heh, I doubt anybody’s expecting too much from me though), I’m gonna bust my butt practicing in San Diego this week before coming home.
